Ben Davis

 | Ben Davis lives in Austin, Texas, where he is a Managing Member of Rapid Energy Services, LLC, focused on business development for the Company. Davis has founded and sold companies in numerous industries.
Investments of note include: In 1995, he co-founded LandTel Communications LLC, a market-share leader in mobile satellite communications for drilling platforms. LandTel went 10 consecutive years without an unprofitable month. In August 2006, Davis and his partners completed a recapitalization of the Company pursuant to which his group sold a majority interest in the Company to a syndicate of private equity funds.
In October 1997, Davis co-founded Aquatica, Inc., a commercial diving firm, which in its first year grew organically to 220 employees and $7.7 million in cash flow from operations. In March 1999, Ben and his partners exited publicly through a sale to Cal Dive International.
In 2004, Davis and a group of private investors acquired an 82% interest in Carolina Polymers, LLC. The investment was part of a turnaround of a Greenville, SC-based polymer production facility formerly owned by Rohm & Haas. New products developed under their ownership now account for 100% of the volume of the plant.
Mr. Davis is a Baylor University honors graduate, with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Finance and Economics and a law degree with a concentration in Business Planning & Drafting. He is a member of the Austin Chapter of The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and a graduate of the Birthing of Giants program co-sponsored by MIT and EO. Among other civic activities, Ben serves on the Board of Trustees of Trinity Episcopal School, where he is Development Chair for the 2006-07 school year.
